M.S.Jacovides Hellas
40 years of successful operation in Greece
“There is a clear problem of underfunding of the public healthcare sector in Greece, as the funds allocated to public hospitals for medtech products has remained at the same low levels for several years and do not meet the real medical needs for quality care. The value of medical technology has not yet been recognized to the extent of its significant contribution, despite the fact that healthcare expenditure is an investment that returns multiple times back to the society and the economy.” The above points out, Mr. Aris M. Jacovides, President & Managing Director of the company M. S. Jacovides Hellas, in an interview with PhB, which this year celebrates 40 years of successful business activity in Greece. The big problem, he emphasizes, is that in Greece new medical technologies and innovative products which ultimately save resources, are not adopted to the required extent and as a result both patients and the healthcare system do not benefit from the important advancements that medical technology may offer.
