M.S. Jacovides Hellas sponsored the 8th Medtech Conference on “Medical Technology in the post-pandemic world” which was held with great success at the Divani Caravel Hotel, on November 1st, 2022 in Athens. The conference, organized by Ethos Events under the auspices of the Greek Association of Health, Research and Biotechnology Industry (S.E.I.V.), aimed to highlight critical problems that characterize the medical devices market in Greece. These include the underfunding of the Medical Devices Sector as well as the delays in payments by Public Hospitals that affect business, the implementation of the new MDR which causes long delays in the certification of medical devices in the EU, the implications of the Covid-19 pandemic that disrupts the supply chains and the issue of the Hospital’s Procurement System, as well as the planned central tenders by the relevant authorities.
The conference guests included apart from corporate participation, healthcare professionals from both the private and public sectors.
